I thought that the E2 simulator would also be included in this release? You might want to reach out to Thoralf Czichy as they are using it in some of the RIC epics.
There is a E2 simulator we use for development in the RIC platform. It simulates the RAN side of an E2 connection. I would like to keep it as a repo managed under the RIC platform also to keep it focused on the E2 base protocol. It seems to me the strongest link (testing of the E2 interface provided by RIC). Currently, the functionality is included in the repo "it/test". I would like it continue like this unless we change the scope to include more than E2 base protocol functionality. JIRA-wise it seems to be this item;

I think we need to think about long term. Other elements may need to have supported simulations such as not just the O-CU-CP but the O-CU-UP, O-DU, and even the RIC for OCU and ODU testing. Also we will want to extend it to integrate with the OTF. I don't really think it belongs in the RIC development repositories, long term.
