  • Reminder from previous week:
    • OSC SMO calls now move to its own time slot - Thursdays
    • See OSC RSAC Calendar: https://wiki.o-ran-sc.org/display/RSAC/calendars
    • (Note this meeting to open to anyone, including non-ORAN members)
    • We will maintain this slot for ONAP Alignment, and try flag issues/question to/from SMO meetings.

  • Meeting invites etc.

OSC Project roundup:

NONRTRIC (John Keeney)

  • No major update.
  • Still training & initial prototyping around rApp execution platform - k8s based.

SIM (Alex Stancu)

  • Ongoing work with OTF integrating E2 simulator
  • Some email exchanges with Facebook RAN simulator

OAM (Martin Skorupski)

ONAP - OSC:

  • Lasse KaihlavirtaWhat will A1 / R1 look like? (Still being defined in O-RAN WG2 - so everything until then is just prototyping!)
    • John Keeney Work is ongoing in OSC - likely to be some time before we have a proposal, and then any proposal is subject to change once R1 is specified
      • Would like all R1 operations to/from rApps to traverse through some form of API gateway - to enforce isolation & R1 compliance.
      • Current plan for A1 Policy is that A1 PMS should be close to R1 exposure for A1 (TBC) - so initially we will just expose A1 PMS NBI.
        • Likely to have some URL translation though AP1 gateway (e.g. url prefix etc)
      • Need to be careful to avoid ONAP service becoming de-facto R1. @All - Please bring your priorities/suggestions for R1 to WG2 as early as possible.

  • HariomGupta(HCL) O-RU Closed loop use case - O-DU startup part.
    • Successfully Tested using Netopeer-cert and test certs. Will test will new certs from Felix if/when they are available (Alex Stancu also testing with newly created certs)
    • Regarding Yang files from WG5 - has LOTS of dependencies on 3GPP. Martin Skorupski HariomGupta(HCL) Will work together to use just the use-case necessary parts. Ref OSC SMO/RSAC call tomorrow.
