OSC Project roundup:

NONRTRIC (John Keeney)

• No major update.
• Still training & initial prototyping around rApp execution platform - k8s based.
  • Nothing to show yet. Getting closer. Will share in coming weeks.
• ONAP H release - A1 Policy Functions - getting over the line! (Warnings in gating tests, Documentation, etc)

SIM (Alex Stancu)

• No major update.
• Continuing with Core Infrastructure Initiative (CII) Badging tasks.

OAM (Martin Skorupski)

• Still discussing topology in ONAP: Abstract Topology Model
  • Also getting interest from optical transport people (in ONAP ?) too!
• O-RAN specs from "November train" now available from O-RAN website
  • Reviewing models with Alex Stancu. Working on CI pipeline testing etc of models ... will revert to O-RAN Alliance
• Preparing O-DU use-case prototype model ....
  • Use case driven YANG modules for O-DU 
  • Once ready will let John Keeney know about the (OpenAPI) api to use to manipulate O-DU via OAM Controller (SDN-R)  i.e. the NBI for SDN-R - Restconf from the yang file.
• FM
  • Near-RT-RIC xApp alarms? What is it raised alarms? How are they documented?
  • Discussing with O-RU and O-DU about how they expose their FM model?

  • How will RIC configurations be examined/discovered? John Keeney A1-PMS does RIC-ID to RIC-URL mapping. Lasse Kaihlavirta What will R1 do for this?
  • Will A1 Policy keep alive be part of R1? John Keeney Can disabled if you wish. Lasse Kaihlavirta Will this be in R1?
  • John Keeney R1 is entirely undefined. We just need to wait for discussions to mature in O-RAN Alliance WG2. Spec process has not yet started. Still at the study phase.

• Vidhu Shekhar Pandey Update on O-DU - ODL testing
  • Tested cut-down SMO test environment. Can manually mount the O-DU-high in SDN-R
    • How to do this using pnfregistration VES message etc.
    • Martin Skorupski will give sample VES message etc to POST to VES Collector
  • Re Closed loop use case & Use case driven YANG modules for O-DU
    • Would like input from user-165cf& user-30c9d -  Will discuss at RSAC call tomorrow. Ref RSAC Meetings
• Use case specific O-DU model Use case driven YANG modules for O-DU - Should we remove the section for du-to-ru-connection . Not planning to have a netconf connection to O-RU. Martin Skorupski No. Please leave it there.
