ONAP - OSC:
Discussion at ONAP TSC about OSC/ONAP/O-RAN collaboration/alignment Swaminathan Seetharaman Martin Skorupski John Keeney
- https://wiki.onap.org/display/Meetings/TSC+2021-03-25
- Slides:
- Suggestions:
- More formal alignment process between OSC & ONAP & ORAN Alliance
- Discussion around cross-project requirements, usecases, timelines & release cadences, points of contact.
- Suggestions:
- Damian Nowak Looking at SMO, O-RAN O1, O-RAN A1, O-RAN O2. Who to talk to?
- O1 & A1 covered at this meetign series.
- O2 is still very early pre-spec - Should have had a spec draft by now? Refer to O-RAN Alliance WG6. Will likely be discussed here too once it firms up a little more.
- Assuming O2 DMS will be strongly based on K8S
- O1 SIM and ONAP (Samsung) xNF simulator would be a good place to start? A1 SIM helm chart avalable.
- ONAP already support helm-chart based K8s deployment
- Lots of simulator options
- Hieu Nguyen - Offline communication with John Keeney about using Kong as HTTPS proxy for A1 Adapter
- Use URL re-writing for RIC-configuration-url → Kong gateway url, then configure Kong to redirect traffic to the appropriate RICs.
- Need to examine if end-to-end HTTPS authentication/security is maintained.
- Main issue is not how to insert a proxy between A1-Adapter & RAN, but the case where a proxy already exists.
- Might be easier to configure in Kong than in A1 adapter?
- Use URL re-writing for RIC-configuration-url → Kong gateway url, then configure Kong to redirect traffic to the appropriate RICs.
- Vidhu Shekhar Pandey HariomGupta(HCL) Still struggling to get VES PNF Registration messages flowing
- Will work with Martin Skorupski offline.
