A. James Li, China Mobile Technology (USA) Inc.

I have extensive experience with open source projects/communities, starting with ONAP, and then Acumos, LF Edge Akraino, and OSC. I was actively involved in the Akraino Public Cloud Edge Interface (PCEI) blueprint, and was awarded the “Committers of the Year” in 2021, and the PCEI blueprint was recognized as one of the “Blueprints of the Year” in 2021. I joined the RICAPP project as a committer about a year ago, and mainly worked with my colleagues on the Load Predictor (LP) xApp. Earlier this year I participated in the discussion of the “Portability SDK” to ease the xApp development across RIC platforms (OSC and ONF as of now). Recently I also tried to set up a lab environment in our office that mimics the OSC community lab, in the hope to help integration test in the future. I view the RICAPP project as one of the best venues to demonstrate the intelligence pillar of the O-RAN initiative, and would like to strive for the following goals: 1.  Fast software reference implementation with the O-RAN Alliance’s open architecture and specifications; 2. Solid xApp examples for others to start with/follow; 3. More interoperability tests and end-to-end verification.

B. Subhash Kumar Singh (Samsung)

LFID: subhash_singh

I have been actively contributing to O-RAN SC since Cherry release. I have committer role in RIC PLT and RIC APP projects and actively participate in all community meetings and discussions.

I have stupendous experience working in Open Source. Apart from the OSC, I have made significant contributions in ONAP project towards the VoLTE and CCVPN usecases. Also, I have played significant roles as PTL/ committer in ODL, Open-O and ONF projects. I have also contributed in development in OpenFlow test specification and standards.

Currently, I am maintaining Hw-go and Hw-python sub-projects under RICAPP project along with my colleague. These subprojects are important for any developer to take first experience of xApp and understand how to write any xApp. Also, I have prepared a document to explain the required steps to write xApp using xAppFramework . Recently, I have delivered a talk in Open Source Conference 2021 to develop xApps. In recent Dawn release I was among one of top contributor. I always try  to bring new ideas for the discussion during the meetings. I am willing to make RICAPP more developer friendly place to collaborate so that we can bring innovation and openness in RAN ecosystem.

C. Sunil Kumar Singh (HCL)

HCL had been actively participated in ORAN SC from the “Cherry release” onwards and I am leading the HCL team in the ORAN contributions for WG3 (RICAPP & RICPLT)

HCL has higher number of xApps contributed to the OSC.  we have committer role in RICAPP and RICPLT.  We own AD, QP and Bouncer xApps in the OSC community. We have introduced AIML components for both training and scoring flows along with addition of time series database(Influx DB).  HCL intends to add an abstraction layer with data lake and related data management capabilities to fast track xApp development and cognitive intelligence above, as E2SMs support can evolve over time.

Bouncer xApp provides for benchmarking any RIC platform implementation.

Since I am actively involved in ORAN community and demonstrated successfully the Traffic Steering use case along with AD and QP xApp for the dawn release and have good understating of overall system and WG.  I will be the right candidate for the RICAPP PTL.
