OSC SMO Meeting Series: Reminder from previous weeks:

OSC Project roundup:

News from OSC TOC call this week

NONRTRIC (John Keeney)

  • As per last week:
    • Working on e2e PM data - making it available over pre-R1 DME (OSC NONRTRIC) Information Coordination Service)
      • Making good progress - File-based almost working, and lots of parts of event-based working. Lots of integration.
    • Working on PoC Service Exposure - with a view towards R1 (3GPP CAPIF TS 23.222)
      • Will update more as this matures - still very early - hopefully a demo in coming weeks
    • Working on getting Repos set up - e.g. lots of Jenkins jobs.
      • Slow, but making good progress.
      • Thanks to the LF team!

SIM (Alex Stancu)

  • No Update
    • Alex out of office
    • Working on Sonar

OAM (Martin Skorupski)

  • Administration tasks
  • Discussing OSC/ONAP IT/DEP SMO package reuse in 5G Super Blueprint activity.

O-DU (Hariom Gupta Vidhu Shekhar Pandey)

  •  Completed VES fault notification - but not working with OAM

RSAC/SMO (David Kinsey)

  • No update this week

OSC Integration / INT (James Li )

ONAP Use Cases Update  (N.K. Shankaranarayanan)

  • Still looking at A1 support in ONAP RAN Sim in SON use case (Vishal Varvate)
    • Mainly looking at how to simulate role of xApps in simulator etc.
    • More discussion in SON use case calls & emails ongoing
    • May be able to bring an update to this call in a few weeks

SMO Integration Charts (Sébastien Determe, Christophe Closset)

ONAP/OSC 3GPP Copyright issues (N.K. Shankaranarayanan, Magnus Buhrgard )

  • Seems 3GPP are OK for ONAP to reuse terminology, but not clear about reusing / importing entire models ....
    • If we reuse lots of terms, the resulting ONAP/OSC models would start to look 'very' like the 3GPP models.
    • So more clarification needed - but an excellent first step. (smile)
    • (OSC TOC probably need to secure a similar assurance (LS) for OSC)

Extending ONAP RANSim with addition A1 & Netconf support (Vishal Varate)

  • Recording: @19:20
  • Presented a suggestion to extend RANSim as near-RT-RIC simulator, including an A1 interface and a way to embed app-specific behavior/functionality similar to an xApp.
    • ONAP Rel K
  • Slides:
  • Still considering implementation details.
  • Suitable for ONAP SON use case & ONAP Slicing usecase

Q/A
